Product Description

11-7/8" RFPI-90 I-Joists are supplied through our Stockton, California wholesale distribution hub for construction projects throughout the Treasure Valley. The RFPI-90 series is the industry-recognized equivalent to Weyerhaeuser TJI-560 and Boise Cascade BCI-90 I-joists and can be used as a substitution where those joist series are specified. Featuring massive 3-1/2" LVL flanges, these engineered floor joists provide increased fastening surface, improved lateral stability, and greater stiffness compared to standard narrow-flange joists. I-joists are commonly used to reduce shrinking, warping, and floor movement while supporting longer spans with less material weight.

Specifications
  • Depth: 11-7/8"
  • Flange Width: 3-1/2"
  • Flange Material: High-Grade LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber)
  • Series: RFPI-90
  • Certification: APA-rated engineered wood I-joist (PRI-400)
Common Uses
  • High-end residential floor framing where maximum floor stiffness is a priority
  • Commonly used in kitchen and bath areas to support heavy tile or stone flooring
  • Multi-family and light commercial projects requiring high vertical load capacities
  • Ideal for floor systems where a 3-1/2" wide nailing surface is preferred for subfloor attachment
Contractor & Builder Notes
  • The "Wide-Flange" Advantage: The 3-1/2" LVL flange provides a massive target for subfloor nails and glue, significantly reducing "shiners" and future floor squeaks.
  • LVL Stability: Unlike solid-sawn flanges, these LVL members won't split, warp, or twist, ensuring a perfectly level floor from the day of the pour to the final walk-through.
  • System Compatibility: Perfectly matches the depth of standard 11-7/8" LVL rim board for a flush, professional perimeter finish.
  • Technical Support: Always verify hole placement for plumbing and HVAC using the Roseburg allowable hole charts to maintain structural integrity.
