Glulam Beams | I-Joists | Rim Board | LVL Beams |

Product Description

6-3/4" x 24" 24F-V4 Architectural DF Glulam Beams are supplied through our Salt Lake City, Utah wholesale distribution hub for extreme clear-span framing throughout the Wasatch Front. Built with a massive 24" depth section paired with a solid 6-3/4" width, this heavy Douglas Fir composite beam delivers maximum bending resistance and deflection control. Its Architectural grade finish makes it an ideal center-point structural member in open-concept designs.

Specifications
  • Width: 6-3/4" (Solid Heavy Timber Profile)
  • Depth: 24" (Maximum Section Depth)
  • Layup / Grade: 24F-V4 Unbalanced Layup (Douglas Fir)
  • Appearance Grade: Architectural (Exposed Finish Quality)
  • Material: Glue-Laminated Timber (Glulam)
  • Certification: APA / ANSI A190.1 code recognized component
Common Uses
  • Massive clear-span commercial headers and multi-car garage openings subject to high tributary loads.
  • Primary floor transfer girders supporting multi-story framing across wide open ground floors.
  • High-capacity ridge beams designed for heavy snow load conditions in custom architectural roofs.
  • Exposed heavy-timber entry features, pavilions, and high-ceiling great rooms.
Contractor & Builder Notes
  • Mandatory Top Stamp Alignment: 24F-V4 is an unbalanced layup; verify the "TOP" designation faces UP toward the compression zone during installation.
  • 24" Section Modulus: Deep section provides maximum edge-wise stiffness to keep extended spans flat and eliminate floor bounce.
  • Crane & Rigging Care: Use wide, padded nylon straps during mechanical lifting to prevent crushing or marring the finished architectural surfaces.
  • High Bearing Reactions: Review structural plans to ensure post caps and bearing plates provide adequate end-support length for heavy point loads.
Sales & Return Policy

Wholesale Hub Terms: Because materials are custom cut and processed to order, transactions operate under strict final-sale terms with no standard returns, credits, or cancellations. Product coverage is limited strictly to transit damage or manufacturing defects that directly compromise structural integrity:

  • Identical Exchanges: Verified structural failures qualify for a 1-for-1 replacement. The original defective material must be returned to our driver at the time of the replacement delivery. Cosmetic variations, sun discoloration, and minor yard weathering do not qualify for claims.
  • 24-Hour Window: Claims must be reported with clear photo verification within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Drop-Zone Rule: To protect against jobsite handling accidents, verification photos must show the material completely untouched in its original drop-zone location as left by our driver, prior to any movement or installation.
