Product Description

18" RFPI-700 I-Joists are supplied through our Boise, Idaho lumberyard for construction projects throughout the Treasure Valley. The RFPI-700 series is the industry-recognized equivalent to Weyerhaeuser TJI-360 and Boise Cascade BCI-60 2.0 I-joists and can be used as a substitution where those joist series are specified. Featuring 2-5/16" LVL flanges, these deep-depth engineered floor joists are commonly used in longer-span floor systems requiring increased stiffness and reduced floor vibration. I-joists provide improved dimensional stability compared to dimensional lumber while supporting longer spans with less material weight.

Specifications
  • Depth: 18"
  • Flange Width: 2-5/16"
  • Flange Material: High-Grade LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber)
  • Series: RFPI-700
  • Certification: APA-rated engineered wood I-joist (PRI-400)
Common Uses
  • Long-span residential floor systems designed for large open-concept rooms
  • High-capacity roof rafter systems for commercial buildings and custom residential additions
  • Structural blocking and framing in deep-depth floor systems where 18" depth is required
  • Strategic alternative to the 900-series when span tables allow for the 2-5/16" flange width
Contractor & Builder Notes
  • Long-Span Capabilities: The 18" profile allows for exceptional clear spans, frequently eliminating the need for interior bearing walls or mid-span support beams.
  • Stability & Strength: High-grade LVL flanges provide consistent stiffness and resist shrinking, helping to eliminate localized floor squeaks and edge-swell.
  • Mechanical Integration: The deep 18" web provides ample clearance for large-diameter HVAC ducts and plumbing; check the Roseburg hole charts for allowable placement.
  • Job Site Efficiency: Every joist is manufactured to be perfectly straight and uniform, ensuring a level subfloor surface and faster framing across the entire system.
