Product Description

11-7/8" RFPI-400 I-Joists are supplied through our Stockton, California wholesale distribution hub for construction projects throughout the Treasure Valley. The RFPI-400 series is the industry-recognized equivalent to Weyerhaeuser TJI-210 and Boise Cascade BCI-6000 I-joists and can be used as a substitution where those joist series are specified. Featuring 2-1/16" LVL flanges, these engineered floor joists provide a consistent nailing surface and improved dimensional stability compared to dimensional lumber floor framing. I-joists are commonly used to reduce floor movement, minimize shrinking and warping, and support longer floor spans with less material weight.

Specifications
  • Depth: 11-7/8"
  • Flange Width: 2-1/16"
  • Flange Material: High-Grade LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber)
  • Series: RFPI-400
  • Certification: APA-rated engineered wood I-joist (PRI-400)
Common Uses
  • Primary floor framing for standard residential custom homes and production housing
  • Multi-family floor assemblies requiring consistent structural performance and low deflection
  • Roof rafter systems for residential designs with moderate span requirements
  • Ideal for floor systems where 11-7/8" depth is specified to match standard LVL rim board
Contractor & Builder Notes
  • The LVL Advantage: The 2-1/16" LVL flange is manufactured to stay straight and true, eliminating the "crowning" and twisting issues often found in solid-sawn lumber.
  • Reduced Squeaks: Because LVL flanges do not shrink like green lumber, they maintain a tighter bond with subfloor adhesives, virtually eliminating future floor squeak callbacks.
  • Installation Efficiency: Light in weight and easy to handle, the RFPI-400 allows for faster floor deck framing with less physical fatigue on the crew.
  • System Matching: Perfectly compatible with standard 11-7/8" LVL rim board for a flush, professional perimeter finish and simplified exterior sheathing.
